Announcement:
1. All new submissions must use the updated MySE Journal Template. This template will apply to all publications from August 2026 onwards.
2. Scheduled Maintenance of the MySE OJS System
Dear Researchers and Authors,
We hope this announcement finds you well. The MySE OJS system will undergo scheduled maintenance on 16 March 2026 (Monday). During this period, the system will be temporarily unavailable. The system is expected to resume normal operation on 17 March 2026 (Tuesday).
3. Discontinuation of Special Issues in MySE Journal
Dear Researchers and Authors,
Starting in 2026, the MySE journal will discontinue publishing "special issues" and will instead focus solely on regular issues.
FOCUS AND SCOPE
The Malaysian Journal of Sustainable Environment (MySE) is a double-blind peer-reviewed which publishes 2 times a year since 2016. This journal aims to publish quality articles on the main area of sustainable environment. The journal is dedicated to various issues focusing on 3 different fields which are:
Built Environment Studies
This category will publish original contributions focusing on built environment practices, which is the journal's core content. The journal also features a diverse array of research and application papers.
Green & Sustainable
It serves as a medium for the publication of original papers focused on green and sustainable topics. The journal aims to present significant results in this field whether through research, development, application or design to the broader academic and professional community.
Urban Studies
It is a platform for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of the main disciplines underpinning the urban studies. Original contributions giving insight into urban practices related to build environment form the core of the journal contents.

Article Publication Charge (APC) APC in MySE include submission, reviewing, editing, publishing, and uploading the accepted article in MySE website. For all these services, MySE charges MYR200 per article. The minimum word length of the article should be 3000 and not exceed 5000 words.
